Insurance & Fees

  • Do you take insurance?

Yes! I am in-network with BCBS, Aetna (including the state health plan), and Optum / United. Coverage can vary from plan to plan, so please double check with your insurance provider to confirm that they cover mental health services.

  • How much will it cost?

If you are using insurance, the cost to you will depend on your policy, including your deductible and co-pay. We can confirm what you can expect the cost to be by contacting your insurance company.

If you are paying a flat fee, my rates depend on the length of our sessions and number of people involved. Please see the section of this page that pertains to the type of therapy you’re pursuing for more details.

My pro-bono and sliding scale spots for both individual and relationship therapy are currently full.

  • Individual Therapy

Individual therapy can be conducted either in person or via telehealth as long as you are still located in North Carolina during our appointment.

One-on-one intake appointments are about an hour in length, and cost $175 out of pocket.

Recurring one-on-one sessions can be either 45 - 60 minutes in length ($125 per session) or up to 90 minutes long ($150 per session).

  • Relationship Therapy

Relationship therapy consists of up to 4 clients at a time. These sessions are for couples, friendships, polycules, or families. They can also take place either in person or via telehealth as long as you are all still located in North Carolina during our appointment, although you don’t have to all join from the same place.

The intake process for relationship therapy consists of an initial meeting of all of us together for 60 - 90 minutes ($200 for this session), and then one-on-one meetings with each participant for 60 minutes each ($125 for each of these sessions).

Recurring relationship therapy sessions can be either 45 - 60 minutes in length ($150 per session) or up to 90 minutes long ($175 per session).

  • Group Therapy

Group therapy sessions focus on a particular theme or topic and run for a set number of weeks before completing. Cost varies depending on the group and its length, but will always be stated clearly so that you can plan accordingly.

Please confirm with your insurance policy whether group therapy services are covered in the format you plan to attend (in person or via telehealth) if you’ll be using your insurance for group.

Groups generally consist of anywhere from 5 - 12 participants, and last from 4 - 12 weeks with 60 - 90 minute sessions.
