ADHD & Anxiety Management

to help you balance rest and motivation

Chaos and constant pressure might feel insurmountable. You may find yourself struggling to stay on top of things that you see others breezing through. It’s exhausting and frustrating to feel at the mercy of whatever your brain grabs onto as the next most important problem to solve.

You may be feeling critical of yourself because you thought you would grow out of this, or it would go away when the pressures of school ended. Or perhaps you’re wondering for the first time: Do I have ADHD or anxiety?

If you find yourself struggling with…

  • difficulty focusing

  • thoughts that run away with what ifs and possibilities

  • irritability and disconnection with friends and loved ones

  • an endless to-do list that never feels like it gets you anywhere

  • trouble getting yourself to start on things that are important to you

  • slowing down to think through your options before acting or speaking

  • avoiding people, places, or things because they’re just too much to deal with

then you’re probably feeling overwhelmed and tired of constantly fighting against yourself.

The way you’re feeling makes perfect sense.

And you are not stuck.

We can build some order into your life and give you room to breathe again.

I know that you’re likely feeling frustrated with yourself, and that this has been very difficult to manage on your own. It’s my goal to help you slow down and rest, to learn how to be with yourself without urgency or judgement. My approach to ADHD and anxiety is guided by compassion and acceptance, and grounded in practical tools and realistic goals.

Together, we will find the tools you need to work with your brain, and not against it. You will learn how to compassionately, but firmly, give that anxious voice inside you a more effective outlet, or how to get your brain to focus when you need to (even when it’s boring). You’ll learn how to motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism, and how to create change without throwing whole parts of yourself into the trash.

We are remodeling, not destroying.

By the end of it all, my hope is that you’ll even be able to relax without feeling guilty!

  • I won’t lie, I do believe in the calming power of a solid deep breath! But I am here to help you find what works for you. There are a million and one things we can try, so if one thing isn’t working for you or rubs you the wrong way we’ll just move on to the next. The most effective tool is one you feel comfortable using.

  • Medication and therapy are most effective when used together, and I would encourage you to consider talking to your doctor about whether medication may be helpful for you. I cannot prescribe medications, and will not pressure you one way or the other. It’s completely up to you!

  • I do not do formal psychological evaluations for ADHD, but I am happy to refer you to psychologists in the area who do. Our work together is more focused on how we can address what you find bothersome in your day-to-day life and understanding neurodivergence in a holistic and supportive way.

  • It depends on your insurance policy, and whether I am in-network. If you’re paying out-of-pocket, the costs are static and transparent. You can find more information about insurance and fees here.
