Hi, I’m Blair.

I can help.

What’s therapy like?

I’m Blair, and it’s my job to help you reach your goals by supporting you with new tools, skills, and encouragement to better meet the challenges of your life.

Therapy with me is tailored to your specific goals and the unique mixture of your strengths and current barriers. My approach to therapy emphasizes both evidence-based skills and strategies that will help you find relief, as well as building compassion for yourself as you create new habits and work towards your goals. I see therapy as an experimental space, where we’re able to explore and practice new ways of relating and being so that you feel ready to implement change in your day to day life.

I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels supportive and pushes you to grow, while also being accepting of whatever is and is not accessible to you at the time (there are no bad grades given out for not doing your homework!). I will work to create a nonjudgmental, gentle, and direct relationship with you. Therapy can be difficult because we examine and open up some of the most vulnerable and painful parts of your life, but I never want you to feel out of control or overwhelmed by the therapy process itself.

I feel so honored by the trust my clients place in me, and it is deeply moving to be part of their life-changing journeys in finding clarity and confidence. I am dedicated to helping people be true to themselves.

I’m looking forward to working with you!

But who am I?

It can be helpful to know a bit more about the person you’ll be working with, and not just about my professional background. Feeling that you can trust and connect with me is the foundation for all the work we’ll do together.

I am a queer, white, neurodivergent, non-binary person, born and raised in central North Carolina. I’m an introvert, and my favorite hobbies are playing video games, reading books, and playing table-top RPGs. You might meet my cats if we have telehealth sessions.

I became a therapist because I am insatiably nosy, and I genuinely love getting to know others’ mental and emotional landscapes. I take my job very seriously, but not myself. Humor is important to me, and I always want you to feel comfortable being direct with me about what is and isn’t working.
